Tai-Chi Chuan/Aikido classes at East High are ongoing (September-May)

8 Weeks Introductory Course at East High(Begin Monday September 15th, 2008 at 5:30PM and 6:30PM)

The introductory course includes concepts, principles and the first 8 to 10 postures in the Tai-Chi form and Aikido ukemi(the art of receiving or the joy of flying). The first class you should show up about ten minutes early to get signed up.   Please wear something you feel comfortable exercising in.  After the 8 week course is up we will continue the rest of the form(Basic Tai-Chi) and/or kihon waza(Basic Aikido). It takes approximately one year to complete the form and basic techniques after which you may join the advanced class.  Aikido and Tai-Chi Chuan ongoing requirements.

Schedule for introductory courses in early January/ early April; middle June; late August/ late October.
Monday 5:30PM-6:30PM ( Intro Tai-Chi), Monday 6:30PM-7:30PM (Intro Aikido) and 7:30PM-8:30PM(BASIC AIKIDO)

Tuition after the introductory course: $40 per month one class per week.

Call for location ongoing classes: Wednesday 6:30PM-7:30PM(Basic Tai-Chi) , Saturday 4-5:00PM(Basic Tai-Chi), and Saturday: 2:30-4:00PM(Basic Aikido)
A long-term commitment is encouraged.

Veera Kasicharernvat Sensei is ranked Yondan--a fourth degree black belt with Aikikai Foundation(Hombu Dojo)Tokyo, Japan and teaches Tai-Chi in Professor Cheng Man Ch'ing's Yang-style short form.
