Son of Harvey George Peery and Rebecca Williams. He was born 30 Aug 1825 in Tazewell County and died 24 Aug 1894 at White Top, Virginia. He is buried in the Peery Cemetery on the Fairground Road in Tazewell. He married first Sarah Jane Witten, daughter of John Milton Witten and Katherine Peery, and second Caroline Elenor Litz.
