Nancy Loucinda Peery Jamison

Nancy Loucinda Peery was born in 1861 in Tazewell County, Virginia at the beginning of the Civil War to Thomas Brewster Peery and Mary Lou Brown. She died in 1925.

She married Jefferson Davis Jamison, born in 1861 in Tazewell County, Virginia, son of William Hardy Jamison and Mary Rebecca Litz. He died August 26, 1906 of a stroke at 45.

Three of their eight children, William Flavius Jamison, Mary Stella Jamison and Sarah Myrtle Jamison (died when about a year and a half), were born in Tazewell, Tazewell County, Virginia. They had five more children in Lewiston, Cache County, Utah: Peery Jefferson Jamison, Lulu Jamison, Clarence Jamison, Velva Jamison. and Jefferine "Jackie" who was born three months after her father's death.

Among the eight children born to Nancy and Jefferson was Mary Stella. She was born May 17, 1887 in Jeffersonville (later named Tazewell), Tazewell County, Virginia. Her family moved to Lewiston, Cache County, Utah while Mary was still quite young. They had a home in Lewiston. Several residents of Lewiston were originally from Tazewell County.

Nancy's maternal grandfather is Isaac Brown, son of Low Brown and Jane Davidson, her great grandparents. Isaac married Mary Thompson, whose parents are William Thompson and Lydia Graham.
