  1. WILLIAM PEERY
Cyndy Miller to S. Paul Peery - January 10, 1998. Her research regarding a William Peery of Wythe County, Virginia, thought to be son of Thomas II, son of Thomas #1. Not clear whether sources mentioned refer to the same person.

  4. PEERY
I am a Peery and I live in Fairmont City, Illinois My fathers name was David Leroy Peery. He was born in Missouri. His fathers name was David Gordon Peery, but I don't know the year he was born in, but if he was living he would be like 120 years old, or around the age. I do hope to maybe learn more about the Peery Family. I never knew my grand parents. Thank you.

  5. MY MOTHER IS A PEERY Greetings from Bloomington, Illinois. My mother has been gathering information about her family line so I looked it up on the Internet and ran into your page. I was just wondering if the Peery family mentioned here has any connection with my mother or if you had any info. on how I could find out. Her father's name is Paul E. Peery (now deceased) and lived in Emmet, ID. He was in the navy during WW2. I know he has a broher named Norman Peery (still living in Washington state) and another brother who has died. Grandpa's parents were Peebles. I don't know if this helps or not. I was just wondering. Thank you for your time.
    Sincerely, Amy Sackett.

  6. EARLIER PEERYS
Just began Net contact with a distant King cousin....We share two great-grandfathers.

We've been exchanging info, part of which are two generations of Peerys predating our three brothers. He lists as his source for this a telephone conversation with a James Brown of Littleton, CO -- not the James W. Brown on our membership list.

According to this info, the grandfather of our boys was one John Peery, b. ca. 1640, Knock Lofty, Tipperary, Ireland, d. ca. 1703 Alloway, NJ. His wife's name was Mary. One of their children was William, b. ca. 1692 Chester Co., PA, d. 1764 Augusta Co., VA. No wife's name available.

William and unknown spouse had five sons: John, Thomas, James, George and Joseph. Source for this last: "Families of Wallingford," by D.L. Jacobus, p. 714. (My new cousin is new to dead ancestor hunting but, as a grad student, is very good with recording sources.)

Does this correlate with anything you have found before? I didn't have any info on previous generations.

I'm advising Matt about Peery Cousins Online. He descends from the eldest son of Solomon Maxwell King and Phebe Rebecca Parlier, daughter of Allen Parlier and Malinda B. Peery.

  7. MISSOURI PEERYS
Just discovered your "Peery" home page. My grandmother was Mary Peery who married Will Reynolds in St. Clair County, Missouri. I don't know a lot about the family, but there are at least three generations of "Peery" family members buried in Osceola, Missouri. In addition to my grandmother, she had two brothers (Logan & Fred Peery) and a sister (Ethel Peery Stiles) who are also buried there along with their parents. They were born in Vista, Missouri. My great-grandfather was a county judge and wealthy farmer. My father's first name was Perry which my grandmother gave him as a derivative of her maiden name.

Hope this may add something to your collection.

  8. TRACING TAZEWELL PEERYS
I am trying to find information regarding my mother's family. My mother's maiden name is Margret Ellen Peery. Her father's family came from Tazewell, VA. HIs name was George Edward Peery II. He was born June 2, 1902. His father, George Edward Peery, died in Feb 1902 of a blasting accident. All efforts by my mother to trace the family any further than Marshal Peery have been futile. Below is a brief family tree as I know it.

                                          Marshal C. (Clarance ?) Peery

I can provide more information on the children of the later generations, if your are interested. If you or the Peery Cousins can be of any assistance, it would be greatly appreciated.

  9. PEERY (PERRY) - CAMPBELL COUNTY, VA
"I was "routed" to you via VAROOTS. I'm look for a John and Peggy Peery (or Perry) who were in Campbell County, VA. In 1780, or so, they deeded land to a Prudence Rogers and her son, Ancil (along with 20 pounds) and I'm trying to track down who Prudence was in relation to John Peery. Any light you could shed would be appreciated.

Now that I've seen your WEB site I want to ask my question again. What I'd like to know is if I do have a Peery connection. I do descend from a woman named Prudence Rogers. In Campbell County, VA, a John Peery and his wife, Pagay (I assume Peggy?) deeded money and land to Prudence Rogers and her son, Ansel (also spelled Anslem, Ancil, Anselm). I'm trying to determine who John was and if he was Prudence's father perhaps. Is there a way I can query your members to determine this? If it shows I do descend from the Peery family, clearly....I'd like to join.

There was one other thing which I should have mentioned about Prudence Rogers. I have a...suspicion that she may have been a freed slave perhaps of Mr. Perry's. I have seen no records of her as black; however, Ansel is called "mulatto" at various points in his life. ...Just to give you another place to look in case Prudence isn't his daughter.
