USC: Psalm 23
By Mark Young
The law is my shepherd; I shall not want.
It maketh me to lie down in mountains of casebooks:
It leadeth me inside the quiet library.
It restoreth my mind: it leadeth me in the path of
legalese for stare decisis sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the
shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me; thy rules and
thy statutes they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the
presense of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with civil procedure;
my brain runneth over.
Surely clients and money shall follow me
all the days of my life: and I will dwell
in the courthouse of the law for ever.
Note: This is the Psalm 23 version for law school.
