Bio of Michael E. Sappington

Early on in his life, Mike had a knack for building things.  During his summer vacation's from school, he could often be found in the surrounding fields and river bottoms building forts, tree houses, and other cool places to hang out.  Now in his third decade, Mike is still pursuing his childhood fantasy by building forts, wagons, and other cool stuff, the only difference being, he has a lot more tools, a much larger budget.

Mike has worked for Tuacahn Center for the Arts in Ivins, Utah for the past three seasons, serving as the Assistant Technical Director for the first two years, and Technical Director for the 2000 summer festival.  He was also the Technical Supervisor for Tuacahn High School during the 1999/2000 school year.

During his career, he has built more then 20 shows including, The Music Man, Fiddler on the Roof, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Cabaret and Twelfth Night.

Mike is also a licensed Pyro Technician.  Blowing things up is every boys dream, but getting paid for it is even better.  He has safely shot off over 250 shows.

Mike is currently a junior at the University of Utah, majoring in Business Management.  He will complete his bachelors degree in the spring of 2002.

His greatest goal in life is to continue to do what he loves best: building things.
