Sandy Negley is the Scholarship Committee Chair for the Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism. Her knowledge of the application and review process qualifies her to answer your questions regarding the Parks, Recreation and Tourism Scholarships. Sandy is the Coordinator of the Therapeutic Recreation program and author of several books including Creating a Healthy Balanced Life.

PRT Awards & Scholarships

Introduction

The University of Utah Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism recognize outstanding students and recognize scholarship recipients at our annual Awards & Scholarship Luncheon. Scholarships are awarded to deserving undergraduate and graduate students based on academic performance, leadership and other criteria specified. Only those students submitting a complete scholarship application and supporting materials prior to the deadline will be considered. The upcoming PRT Scholarship deadline is 5 pm on January 20, 2012.

We encourage students to apply for College-wide scholarships in addition to the departmental scholarships. Students may also be eligible for University-wide scholarships and financial aid, which is available through the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.
