On the Wall

Finally...a page dedicated to the wonderful guitar of the Brothers Reid.  There has been a certain demand for guitar tablature for the Jesus and Mary Chain, and I've finally found a niche on the web that I can fill.

Most of the Chain's songs consist of simple bar chords, and don't properly demonstrate their effectiveness on paper (or monitor), but take these songs, learn them, and play them, and I guarantee they will provide playing satisfaction, even on an acoustic guitar.

In figuring out the tab for these songs I've taken a few liberties, and don't guarantee that this is how William or Jim play.  First, these are arranged for a single guitar, using just the rhythm guitar as the basis for the tab.  This means no solos, but when I get enough songs online, that'll probably change.  Second, in certain places the bass line is incorporated into the chords to give the songs a fuller feel than if played straight.  Third, since all these were played out on my acoustic, certain notes have been bent and added to give the songs a little kick.

Before I send you off to the song page, I must send a word out to my ex-roomie and best friend, Ryan, without whom none of this would be possible. Also, many thanks to Niina for the inspiration to get off my ass.

Without any further ado...let's play!
