A Symphony for Sound F/Xs.

1.   Create a two minute symphony.

1) Use only: 
A) the sound and images from the class sound F/Xs in the "F/X Fall 04 " folder on one of the Scratch Discs . (this folder should be on each computer--these are your #1 Assignments/sound F/X). 

B) One extra sound F/X of your choosing from your sound F/Xs tape (Assignment #1).

C) An (1) audio file that you import from a sound f/x cd.

2) Set up the rhythm visually as well as with the audio. 
3) Avoid using too many special visual effects.
4) Multiple layers of Audio (mixed).
5) Don't forget that the silences are as important and the moments with sounds--think John Cage
2) Superimpose your full name for the last 3 seconds of your Symphony  using: 
 
1) a 24 point Courier font 
2) On one row 
3) Turn on Show Safe Titles for the Viewer
4) Turn on  Image +Wireframe
5) Turn on Black background
6) Move thie bottom left corner  just inside the Safe Titles area
7) Capitalize the first letter of your first and last name



3) Turn in
a) Export as a movie you piece excluding blacks but including your name and countdown (compressor: DV-NTSC/ size: 720X 480/ etc.). Call you movie "'Your Name' 5 F/Xsymphony.mov" and store it in your folder on the scratch disk..
