Limitations: 

1.  Open  Adobe Premiere by double clicking on the alias in the Dock.
2.  Load settings (DV-NTSC 720X480  29.97 48khz 16 bit stereo) preset. Make sure your Timeline is set for AB Editing . Check in the menu on the upper right hand corner of the Timeline.
3.  Find and Open the Count down leader in Class Countdown folder (on one of the Scratch Disk  hard drives).  Use this  clip from the first frame of Picture Start (set as an in point) to the single frame of 2 (set as an out point -include the 2) onto the time line V1a and A1.
4.  Move (Drag or insert) the countdown leader on the Timeline so you can place 20 seconds of black/title at the start and at the end and put the 20 Seconds of black at the beginning of the project. 
5.   Open Black Video (menus: file, new, black video ).  Drag 20 seconds of black onto timeline before your countdown leader.
5.  Capture one of your sound f/xs ( your best from Assignment #1 or shoot a new one) and put this clip after the count down.   Put 2 seconds of black minus one frame (59 frames) between the number 2 and your sound f/x. . 
6.  Cut (using the razor blade) the countdown into one second segments (8, 7, 6, 5, 4, and 3).,  the number 2 is only one or two frames long.
7.  Close and Save your project into your folder on the scratch drive.  Make sure both your project and your sound effect clip are in your folder.
8.  Now go out an shoot footage for your countdown leader.  Shoot a different idea (or sequence) for each number.  Keep in mind time is moving--illustrate this movement in time.  This footage can be edited together latter (it can be more than just one shot per number).  Make sure each shot has at least 10 seconds of footage before and after the section you are planing to use.  Be creative in what you shoot, push the edges. 
9. Capture six different clips or sequences of clips--a different idea/shot (or sequence) for each number.  This footage can be edited together (it can be more than just one shot per number). Save clips in your folder.
10.  Move the Numbers to V1b on the Timeline and place your footage for each number (8, 7, 5, ...8) directly above it on V1a.
11.  Every clip you use should have audio (leave the beep on the 2 clip).
12.  Create a title with your name. Put 4 seconds of your title on V1b of the timeline before your first number. Remove all but one second of the overlapped black that is on V1a .. Cross dissolve your title and the black for one second (that's the length of the overlap).  Place the Edit Line at the beginning of the transition and drag the Cross Dissolve (Window, Show Transitions, then the Dissolve folder and Cross Dissolve) transition into the Transitions Row on the Timeline. Stretch it the length of the overlap V1a and V1b. *
13. Create a title for your sound effect and superimpose it on your f/x shot (use alpha channel Key Type). * of rows
14. *Preview whatever is necessary, so it runs smoothly.  Save your in your folder on scratch disk. .
