4:3 Edited Static Shots

Limitations:

1) Shoot and Edit a 2 to 3 minute 4:3 aspect ratio video.

A.If your camcorder shoots Anamorphic (16X9) video by default use the menu and set it to shoot 4x3 (aspect ratio) DV.
B. When you open final Cut you need to select a 4x3 set-up for your project

2) Static shots. Use a tripod.

A. No Camera movement what so ever.
B. SHOTS= more than one set-up (camera angle).

3) No Zooms (focal length changes) in a single shot You may use different focal lengths in different shots.
4) Start with 2 seconds of silent BLACK
5) Must have a credit of your name at beginning of piece.
6) Followed by a title.
7) Audio Sources (you must use all of these at least once in your piece):

A) Music from a CD (use in no more than 50% of you finished piece).
B) Sound f/xs from the Art Server Library, or CDs, or the web.
C) Sync Sound (from your source video tape).
D) Wild Sound (from your source video tape, but not from the same exact spot the image is from).
E) Voice Over (from a mic).

8) End with 3 Seconds of silent BLACK.
9) Export your finished piece as a DV-NTSC 720X480 movie with 480kHz, 16bit, stereo audio.
10) Drop your exported movie in my drop box before class (it should be between 400 and 700 mb) labeled with your name and 2 and the word Static ("Your Name" 2 Static.mov). If you don't include the "Static" I might think it is a #2 assignment for my other class, so help me keep them straight by including "Static" in the name.
