A) With a video camera record 40 different sound effects
with an great image of what is making sound.
B) Make sure you leave at least 10 seconds of uninterrupted video
before the beginning of each sound.
C) Pay close attention to framing (composition), focus, depth
of field, exposure, and the sound.
D) Use a trpod if possible.
Remember this is an art class!!!
E) Make sure you get at least one great shot that is:
1) A telephoto shot with narrow depth of field.
2) A telephoto shot with a deep depth of field.
3) A wide angle shot with narrow depth of field.
4) A wide angle shot with a deep depth of field.
5) A medium focal length shot.
E) Log you tape, log all shots-including errors or garbage.
F) Mark your best.
Bring your original footage (with your camera if it is needed
--any kind other than miniDV, Digital 8, 8mm, Hi-8, SVHS, or VHS) and log
to class.
