Help Offered: Interest has been and remains strong in health history. From early in my career I have been involved at the national level with either sponsoring health history symposia, initiating a health history column in THE JOURNAL OF HEALTH EDUCATION (since discontinued), or recently completing a three-year term as chair of AAHE's Committee on History and Philosophy. Another area which has emerged in recent years, is an interest in examining university teaching, specifically creativity and most recently the reinvestment traits of senior faculty who have had a minimum of twenty years of classroom experience. Courses which I currently teach are: Foundations of Health Promotion/Education Health History and Ethics (only the history area), & Health Education in the Elementary School. |
Help Offered: Glad to help with educational computer applications (e.g., PowerPoint, web pages, WebCT). |
|
Help Wanted: The reinvestment research project team (Drs. Grosshans and Trunnell at the UU, Dr. Artur Poczwardowski at St. Lawrence University, and Al Romeo, PhD Candidate) is interested in any graduate students who want to do qualitative research in this area. |
Help Wanted: Critical thinking skills pedagogy as it relates to health education. |

FYI: Not little known, but I do enjoy reading biographies, golfing, & traveling - none of which I do enough of!! |
FYI: The fact my mom would like me to reveal is that I'm a Wendy Ward Charm School graduate. A little known fact about me as an adult is that I developed & hosted a television series on the Health Professions through the public broadcast station. The series serves as a distance education program for the Community College of Southern Nevada. |
