Need teaching experience? Considering a career at a small college? Westminster College needs associate instructors for the Spring 2000 Semester for the following classes:
1. Chem 304 Organic Chemistry II (Chem & Bio majors)
Lecture MW 8:00 - 10:00 AM
Lab Th 8:00 - 11:50 AM & 1:00 - 4:50 PM
A Ph.D. in organic chemistry or closely related field is
required. Previous teaching experience is strongly
recommended.
2. Chem 201 Organic and Biochemistry (Nursing majors)
Lecture MTWTh 8:00-8:50 AM
No Lab
A Ph.D. in organic chemistry or biochemistry or closely
related field is required. Previous teaching experience is
strongly recommended.
There is a possibility that a second section of this class
will be added because of enrollment increases.
3. Chem 422 Physical Chemistry II (Chem and Phys majors)
Lecture MW 12:00-1:50 PM
Lab incorporated into lecture time
A Ph.D. in physical chemistry is required. This course
deals with Thermodynamics and Statistical Mechanics.
Previous teaching experience is strongly recommended.
4. Phys 212 Physics for Scientists and Engineers (Chem and Phys majors)
Integrated Lecture/Lab MTTh 8:00-9:50 AM
A Ph.D. in physics is required. Previous teaching
experience is strongly recommended.
5. Explorations in Science, LE
Liberal education course for nonscience majors. Team
taught class. Ph.D. in any area of Physical or Biological
sciences. A broad background in science is strongly
preferred.
Two separate sections need to be staffed.
#1 - T 11:00 AM - 12:50 PM & Th 11:00 AM - 1:50 PM
#2 - T 2:00 - 3:50 PM & Th 2:00 - 4:50 PM
