The study of language is so fascinating to me that I have decided to make it my profession.  Here are some articles where I present some of my own linguistic ideas:

All my life without realizing it I have been fascinated with principles of language.  Early on I noticed that I had a good sense of understanding for the meaning of words and sentances; this led me to participate in speech and debate in high school and also in my first year of college.  This awareness of and understanding of strict meaning of words and sentances made me interested in the study of constitutional law.  It also drove my parents crazy as I became adept at intentionally misinterpreting their statements.

The members of my immediate family have always had an unusual sense of humor that bases itself on the use of puns and ambiguities of meaning of both words and phrases.  Later as I studied Spanish in preparation for and during my sojourn in Argentina, and after I returned and began studying Hebrew, I became fully aware of the great interest that I have for the study of the components that make up language.

Once I recognized that this was a field that I enjoyed studying, I chose to change the direction of my University course of study to include a major in Linguistics.  Having begun this process, I often find myself considering various principles of Linguistics and grammar that I find interesting.  The purpose of this section of my web site is to share these theories with others that may be interested, as well as receive feedback and comments on these theories.

The ideas are all my own, and are not suggestions or ideas of the University of Utah or its Linguistics Department.  In many cases these writings are copyrighted material and are all my intellectual property that I have chosen to share; please do not violate my interest in the gathering and spread of knowledge and information by using these ideas without permission or presenting them as your own.  Contributors to any of the articles this area will of course receive due recognition any time their ideas are used.
